There’s a larger fan following since Season 6 of Game of Throne went off air, and it’s not for the Stark Sisters or Cersei or Jon Snow or Daenerys, but completely a new character introduced, who, of course, was long due as she is an integral part of what happens in the climax. She shapes the end of the show, and she is none other than a ten-year old leader of the Bear Islands, Lady Lyanna Mormont.
Since her appearance in season 6 as someone who has no time to talk in riddles, someone who is respectful, honored, compassionate and has tremendous diplomat skills under the leadership power that she holds, the audience have lost their mind on her and they are in want of more. The fan wants to know more about her, and see her doing more of her incredible ruling.
In season 6, she appeared in 3 scenes and totally took away the audience by storm by her crisp character. She doesn’t talk about ruling, she goes ahead and straight away rules! She is such a badass that would put men thrice her age to shame. It’s sad that we haven’t seen her as a warrior yet, but can guarantee she would be an excellent sword fighter as well and not just a sword swinger because of her age. What was even more commendable to watch for was that the adults surrounding her didn’t babysit Lady Lyanna Mormont, instead talked and advised her as they would to any other leader of the House.
This season we are hoping to see more than just 3 scenes of Lady Lyanna Mormont as speculation goes that Jon Snow possibly would be in need of her help if he wants to forge alliance with other houses, especially the Targaryen. In Season 6, we saw Lady Lyanna Mormont pledge her loyalty and her men to Starks and delivered a fierce speech to convince her men to vow to Jon Snow as their new King. It is believed that if Jon Snow is to forge an alliance with Daenerys Targaryen, he would need the help of Lady Lyanna Mormont and her overpowering charisma to talk Daenerys into this. But, Game of Thrones has seen its share of mysteries and surprises, and Lady Lyanna Mormont has a possible chance of switching sides if Sansa Stark goes bad! Sansa Stark is supposedly a villain and given her history, he might turn into a killing-machine in season 7and fight for the throne to herself. As Lady Lyanna Mormont has pledged her loyalty and service to the Starks, she might stop helping Jon Snow.
The girl bringing this character alive is a 12-year old girl named Bella Ramsey, who is equally excited to play the role which she described as Someone who is strong and firm and wants to be treated like an adult, who wants keep her island and House Mormont safe from the Night’s King. She is a ruler who doesn’t want anybody to babysit her. She doesn’t care if she is a preteen in a House of all adults, she would still stare down each of the three leaders in the room and proceed to shame them. She is way ahead than many lady protagonists of this show like Arya Stark, Sansa Stark or per se Daenerys Targaryen, the muse of everybody, Mother of Dragons, wandering the dusted landscapes for several seasons, fighting for the Throne; Lady Lyanna Mormont in place of her would have claimed that Throne if she had possessed three dragons of her own, in just one season, that too at her age. She has some sass that the other protagonists have failed to show on this show, maybe because the show has so many seasons.
Lady Lyanna Mormont gained huge fan following the moment her scene was aired. The character is so riveting that the fans demand her solo spin-off, which to say would be really interesting to watch, because who wouldn’t want to know in details about her family and her history. As to how at such a tender age did she manage to learn skillful diplomacy? Also, how is it possible that the seniors in the House respect her decision without a word against?
